Algolagnia: The dictionary says: Sexual gratification derived from inflicting or experiencing pain.
There is an attempt to distinguish this from masochism/sadism. But it assumes that masochists necessarily want to be dominated or humiliated. Many masochists have always made it clear they are looking for sensation and have no interest in D/s.
The term is also applied to people who seek gratification by hurting themselves.
